Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay says the team's current injury situation affecting key players is the most severe he has experienced in his decade leading the franchise. McVay, who has coached the Rams since 2017, made the assessment as the team navigates a growing list of sidelined starters.
The comments came during a media availability on Thursday, November 5, 2026, as the Rams prepare for upcoming games with a depleted roster. McVay's tenure has included a Super Bowl victory in the 2021 season, but he indicated the current wave of injuries to core contributors surpasses previous challenging seasons.
The Rams have been hit hard across multiple position groups, forcing the coaching staff to rely heavily on depth players and practice squad elevations. McVay did not specify individual players in his remarks, but the team's injury report has featured several prominent names in recent weeks.
