Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October, the NFL announced Thursday. The award recognizes Fairbairn's consistent performance during a critical stretch of the 2026 season.
Fairbairn, who has been with the Texans since 2017, converted all of his field-goal attempts and extra points during the month, providing reliable scoring for Houston's offense. His accuracy and clutch kicking in key moments helped the Texans secure important victories in the AFC South race.
The honor marks the second time in Fairbairn's career he has earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Month recognition. He previously won the award in December 2018. The 30-year-old kicker continues to rank among the league's most dependable specialists, with a career field-goal percentage above 85%.
