Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija was caught on camera directing a profane insult at Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks during a recent NBA matchup, calling his opponent a "flopping b***h" in a heated moment that has drawn attention across the league.
The incident, reported by Julian Ojeda of ClutchPoints on November 5, 2026, highlights the ongoing tension between the two players. Avdija, in his first season with the Blazers after being acquired from the Washington Wizards, apparently took exception to Brooks' playing style, which has long included a reputation for drawing offensive fouls and exaggerating contact.
Brooks, known for his aggressive perimeter defense and willingness to engage in verbal confrontations, has frequently been criticized by opponents and analysts for embellishing falls. The Suns forward, who joined Phoenix in 2023, has built a career on physical, antagonistic defense that often toes the line between gamesmanship and provocation.
Neither player nor their respective teams have issued official statements regarding the exchange. The NBA has not announced whether any disciplinary action will be taken for the on-court language.
