The Kansas City Royals have hired Hunter Mense as their new assistant hitting coach, adding the former San Francisco Giants hitting coach to their major league staff.
Mense, who wore number 59 with the Giants, served as San Francisco's hitting coach before joining Kansas City. A photo from February 19, 2026 shows Mense during photo day at Scottsdale Stadium in Arizona during his time with the Giants.
