California Golden Bears general manager Ron Rivera spoke publicly about head coach Tosh Lupoi's challenging inaugural season during a press conference at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. Lupoi was introduced as the program's new head football coach on December 5, 2025, and his first year at the helm has been described as brutal by observers.
The press conference, held on November 5, 2026, featured both Rivera and Lupoi addressing the media regarding the team's performance and future direction. Rivera's comments come as the program evaluates its trajectory after a disappointing debut campaign under the former defensive coordinator.
