The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly still hoping to receive a trade package similar to the one the San Francisco 49ers acquired for Christian McCaffrey in exchange for star running back Jonathan Taylor, according to a report from SB Nation.
The report, published on November 6, 2026, indicates the Colts' front office continues to hold out for a significant return for the 2021 NFL rushing leader. Taylor, who wore number 28, was photographed warming up before the Colts' game against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on October 25, 2026.
No specific trade discussions or interested teams were detailed in the initial report. The McCaffrey trade, which sent a second-round pick, a third-round pick, a fourth-round pick, and a fifth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers in 2022, serves as the benchmark for Indianapolis' asking price.
