Branford High School's field hockey team captured its second consecutive Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC) championship on Tuesday, defeating Hand High School 2-1 in double overtime at Amity High School in Woodbridge.
The winning goal came from Savannah Johnson in the second overtime period, securing the repeat title for the Hornets.
