Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer announced Friday that two additional players have been ruled out for the upcoming clash against LSU, bringing the total number of unavailable players to six. The Crimson Tide continue to deal with significant roster depletion as they prepare for their SEC matchup against the Tigers.
The latest absences compound an already challenging situation for DeBoer's squad, which has been navigating injury and availability issues throughout the season. Alabama, coming off a College Football Playoff quarterfinal appearance at the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2026, where they faced Indiana, now faces a critical conference game with a severely limited roster.
Specific player names and positions were not disclosed in the initial announcement. The program has not provided a timeline for the return of any of the six sidelined players. LSU presents a formidable opponent, and the depth concerns could test Alabama's resilience in what is traditionally one of the SEC's most intense rivalries.
