Sergio Perez has praised the impact of American driver Colton Herta, but the Red Bull Racing driver says he will have no say in who partners him at the new Cadillac Formula 1 team set to join the grid in 2027.
Perez, who has been linked with a move to the General Motors-backed entry, acknowledged Herta's strong performances in IndyCar but emphasized that driver selections for the Cadillac squad will be made by the team's management.
The 2027 season will mark Cadillac's debut in Formula 1 as an eleventh team, with the American manufacturer aiming to field a competitive lineup alongside established outfits.
