An NBA insider has suggested the Golden State Warriors could pursue a trade for Orlando Magic starting center Wendell Carter Jr., according to a report from Heavy.com on Friday.
The speculation comes as the Warriors look to bolster their frontcourt depth. Carter, wearing No. 34 for Orlando, was recently photographed during the Magic's game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on October 25, 2026.
The 25-year-old center has developed into a reliable two-way big man for the Magic since being acquired from the Chicago Bulls in the 2021 trade that sent Nikola Vucevic to Chicago. His ability to protect the rim and space the floor would address a clear need for Golden State.
No specific trade framework or timeline was reported. The Warriors' front office has historically been active in exploring upgrade opportunities, particularly when veteran contributors become available.
