Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams took to Instagram on Wednesday, channeling NBA star Kevin Durant in a post directed at his critics. The rookie signal-caller shared a message reminiscent of Durant's past responses to detractors, signaling his mindset amid early-season scrutiny.
Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has faced heightened attention following a mixed start to his professional career. His latest social media activity suggests he is embracing a defiant attitude similar to Durant, who has frequently used social platforms to address criticism throughout his basketball career.
The post, which quickly garnered attention across sports media, did not include specific game-related comments but rather a broader statement about blocking out negativity. Williams' approach mirrors a growing trend of athletes directly engaging with public discourse through personal channels.
