CBS Sports has released its 2026-27 Preseason All-Transfer Team for college basketball, highlighting the top players who moved through the transfer portal. Louisville center Flory Bidunga headlines the first team as the Preseason Transfer of the Year.

First Team Selections

Bidunga, a 6-9 forward with a 7-3 wingspan, was the top-rated player in the 2026 transfer portal cycle. Louisville coach Pat Kelsey praised him: "Flory's a special player... When your best player is your hardest worker, you've got something." In an exhibition win at Kansas, Bidunga guarded five-star wing Tyran Stokes effectively. He averaged 1.00 points per possession on 30 drives last season at Kansas.

Miami point guard Acaden Lewis earned first-team honors after averaging 5.3 assists per game with a 2.5-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio at Villanova. Lewis scored 23 points on 12 shots with 10 assists in an exhibition against Vanderbilt. Coach Jai Lucas called him a "basketball savant."

Duke shooting guard John Blackwell, a Wisconsin transfer, is noted as the team's best 3-point shooter and a "heart and soul" player. Coach Jon Scheyer said Blackwell is "not afraid" and "uplifting" with young teammates.

St. John's guard Tounde Yessoufou, who averaged 17.8 points and 5.8 rebounds at Baylor, joins the first team. Coach Rick Pitino emphasized Yessoufou must improve rebounding and shooting to become a lottery pick.

Kentucky forward Milan Momcilovic, who shot 49% from 3-point range on over 7.0 attempts per game, rounds out the first team. Coach Mark Pope said Momcilovic "makes impossible shots" and has elite gravity.

Second and Third Teams

The second team includes Houston point guard Dedan Thomas (3.7-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio at LSU), Texas A&M guard PJ Haggerty (65% at the rim on 245 attempts), Arizona State forward Paulius Murauskas (followed coach Randy Bennett from Saint Mary's), Texas forward David Punch (defensive standout with near 7-foot wingspan), and Michigan center Moustapha Thiam (7-2 with 7-6 wingspan, held opponents to 48% at the rim at Cincinnati).

Third-team selections feature Texas guard Isaiah Johnson (16.9 points, 38% from 3 at Colorado), Baylor guard Kayden Mingo (Penn State transfer), Illinois guard Stefan Vaaks (1.4 pull-up 3-pointers per game), Indiana forward/center Aiden Sherrell (Alabama transfer), and UConn center Na'jai Hines (19th in offensive rebound rate at Seton Hall).

The article also notes preseason risers and fallers, including UCLA's Jaylen Petty and NC State transfer Cole Cloer at Alabama as risers, while Tennessee's Juke Harris and Gonzaga's Massamba Diop face uncertainty.
