Major League Baseball's 2026-27 free agent class has been ranked in a new Top 100 list published by Yahoo Sports, with Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal, Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta, and Japanese infielder Teruaki Sato leading the rankings.
The annual offseason ranking, authored by Matthew Pouliot, evaluates the top players set to hit the open market this winter. Skubal, a Cy Young Award candidate, anchors a strong pitching class, while Peralta represents one of the game's most consistent starters. Sato, who has drawn significant interest from MLB clubs, headlines the position player group.
The full rankings provide teams and fans with a comprehensive guide to the upcoming free agency period, which officially begins following the World Series. Clubs will use such evaluations to shape their offseason strategies and roster construction for the 2027 season.
