Jake Paul will return to the ring on Christmas Eve, December 24, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, headlining an event promoted by MVP Promotions and streamed on Netflix. The opponent has not yet been announced.
“I’ve spent years proving people wrong, taking risks, and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I’d face. Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward. I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, December 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey,” the 29-year-old said in a press release.
Paul has not fought since December 2025, when he suffered a sixth-round knockout loss to heavyweight Anthony Joshua, which also resulted in a broken jaw.
Potential opponents
Speculation centers on five possible opponents: former UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira, 47, who recently boxed Mauricio “Shogun” Rua; former UFC fighter Darren Till, 33, who is 5-0 in boxing exhibitions; 47-year-old boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, who fought for a world title last year; former super middleweight champion Edgar Berlanga, who has publicly called for the fight; and lightweight star Gervonta Davis, who was originally scheduled to face Paul last year but withdrew.
