Oliver Bearman has expressed his desire to continue racing for the Haas Formula 1 team, but contract negotiations have encountered an obstacle over salary terms, according to a report by Mariano Velloso for Yahoo Sports on October 29, 2026.
The British driver, who made his Formula 1 debut as a substitute earlier in the 2024 season and has been linked with a full-time seat at the American-owned squad, is understood to be keen on securing a long-term future with the team. However, discussions between Bearman's representatives and Haas management have reportedly reached an impasse regarding financial terms.
Haas, which has fielded a mix of experienced and rookie drivers in recent seasons, is evaluating its 2025 driver lineup alongside its technical partnership with Ferrari. Bearman, a Ferrari Driver Academy member, is considered a leading candidate for one of the team's seats, but the salary disagreement could complicate a deal.
Neither Haas nor Bearman's camp has issued an official comment on the status of the talks. Further updates are expected as the Formula 1 silly season progresses toward the finalization of the 2025 grid.
