Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Eric Lauer has elected to become a free agent, ending his two-year tenure with the club. The 28-year-old pitcher, who wore number 56, appeared in a game against the Minnesota Twins at Rogers Centre on April 11, 2026, in what may have been his final outing in a Blue Jays uniform.
Lauer joined Toronto ahead of the 2025 season and made contributions out of the rotation and bullpen during his time with the organization. His decision to test the open market comes as the Blue Jays evaluate their pitching depth for the upcoming offseason.
