The Portland Trail Blazers have announced a roster move involving center Yang Hansen ahead of their upcoming game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The transaction was revealed on Friday, October 30, 2026, though specific details of the move were not immediately disclosed.
Hansen, who wears number 16 for Portland, recently appeared in the team's preseason victory over the Golden State Warriors on October 7 at Moda Center. The 7-foot-1 Chinese center has been developing within the Trail Blazers system since joining the organization.
The timing of the announcement, coming just before a regular-season contest against the Grizzlies, suggests the move could impact Portland's frontcourt rotation for the matchup. Further details regarding the nature of the transaction — whether it involves a promotion from the G League, a contract conversion, or another roster adjustment — are expected to be clarified by the team prior to tip-off.
