AC Milan and Inter Milan have unveiled designs for a new stadium to replace their historic shared home, San Siro, as the iconic venue enters its centenary year. The announcement signals that time may be running out for fans to experience one of world football's most famous grounds, with demolition confirmed for the existing structure.
BBC Sport visited San Siro to examine the stadium's legacy and the reasons behind the clubs' decision to move forward with a modern replacement. The report coincides with the upcoming Milan derby, scheduled for Saturday 31 October at 19:40 GMT, which will be broadcast on BBC Two and iPlayer.
