Brigham Young University backup quarterback Treyson Bourguet has drawn public support following a social media post referencing Christ's Atonement. The Cougars' No. 10 was photographed looking on before BYU's game against the Stanford Cardinal at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on September 6, 2025.
The article, published by Yahoo Sports and written by Tad Walch, argues that Bourguet's expression of faith should not require defense. The piece appeared on October 30, 2026.
