Speculation is growing that former LSU head coach Brian Kelly could emerge as a candidate for the vacant head coaching position at NC State, according to a report by Will Rosenblatt of LSU Wire published on October 29, 2026.
Kelly, who previously led Notre Dame and Cincinnati before his tenure at LSU, has been linked to several openings since his departure. The NC State job became available after the program parted ways with its previous coach earlier this season.
