Patrick Mahomes' personal trainer has made a bold prediction about quarterback prospect Drew Mestemaker, stating "this kid here is the second" in reference to the Kansas City Chiefs superstar. The comment suggests the trainer sees similar elite potential in the young quarterback.
The prediction was reported by Colin Witte on October 29, 2026, drawing immediate attention in football circles. Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl champion and two-time NFL MVP, has set a high bar for quarterback play since entering the league in 2017.
Mestemaker, whose background and current team were not specified in the initial report, now carries the weight of comparisons to one of the NFL's most dynamic players. Such early career comparisons are rare and typically reserved for prospects displaying exceptional physical tools and football intelligence.
The trainer's endorsement adds intrigue to Mestemaker's development path, though the quarterback prospect will need to prove himself through competitive play before any meaningful parallels can be drawn to Mahomes' historic NFL trajectory.
