The Miami Heat have unveiled an updated statue of franchise legend Dwyane Wade, replacing the original sculpture that drew widespread criticism for its lack of resemblance to the Hall of Fame guard.
The new statue was revealed on Friday, October 30, 2026, outside the Kaseya Center, the team's home arena. The original statue, which had been installed earlier, was widely panned by fans and media alike for failing to capture Wade's likeness.
Wade, who spent the majority of his 16-year NBA career with the Heat and led the team to three championships, attended the unveiling ceremony. The updated sculpture aims to better reflect his iconic features and playing pose.
