Former professional footballer Lee Tomlin has been appointed to the coaching setup at Bristol Rovers, the League One club announced on Friday. Tomlin, who spent the 2022-23 season playing for Doncaster Rovers in League Two, transitions into a coaching role after a playing career that included spells at clubs such as Peterborough United, Middlesbrough, Cardiff City, and Nottingham Forest.
The 35-year-old attacking midfielder retired from playing in 2023 and has since been working toward his coaching qualifications. His appointment adds experienced insight to the Bristol Rovers backroom staff as they navigate the 2026-27 League One campaign.
