North Wales Crusaders have secured their future in the Rugby Football League (RFL), ensuring the club's continued participation in the professional rugby league structure. The announcement confirms the stability of the current incarnation of the club, which has been working to establish itself in the British rugby league system.
A previous version of the Crusaders competed in Super League, the top tier of British rugby league, between 2009 and 2011 before folding. The current club, based in Colwyn Bay, has been building toward a sustainable future in the lower divisions of the RFL pyramid.
The development represents a significant step for rugby league in North Wales, providing a professional pathway for players and maintaining the sport's presence in a region where it has historically struggled to gain a permanent foothold at the highest level.
