Achraf Hakimi scored a hat-trick as a heavily rotated Paris Saint-Germain thumped bottom-placed Le Havre 5-1 in Ligue 1 on Friday.
The victory extended PSG's winning run to six consecutive league matches, leaving them top of the table with 20 points. Lille moved into second on 18 points after Olivier Giroud's late goal secured a 1-0 win over Lens, while Rennes dropped to third with 16 points following a 5-2 defeat at Nice.
Le Havre took a surprise lead through Josh Maja in the 18th minute, but Mika Godts equalised eight minutes later after a pass from Hakimi. Hakimi then put PSG ahead with a low drive in the 28th minute and added a third with a curling free-kick that beat goalkeeper Arnaud Bodard.
Senny Mayulu rounded Bodard to score PSG's fourth just after the hour mark, and Hakimi completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute when his saved shot rebounded off him into the net. Coach Luis Enrique substituted Hakimi shortly afterwards, describing him as "a striker when we have the ball" who is "free to do that when we are in possession, but obliged to defend when we aren't."
Enrique left Désiré Doué, Vitinha and João Neves on the bench, while Ousmane Dembélé missed the game through injury. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia faces a lengthy absence after tearing his ACL in last week's Champions League victory over Barcelona.
