The Chicago Bears are reportedly exploring a reunion with linebacker Khalil Mack after the team's trade involving Jeffery Simmons. Mack, who currently wears number 52 for the Los Angeles Chargers, previously played for the Bears from 2018 to 2021 before being traded to the Chargers.
The potential move comes as the Bears look to strengthen their defense following the Simmons transaction. Mack was photographed in action during the Chargers' game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on October 18, 2026, where Los Angeles faced the Chiefs in a regular-season matchup.
Mack, a multiple-time Pro Bowl selection and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, recorded 17.5 sacks in his first season with Chicago in 2018. His return would bring veteran leadership and pass-rushing ability to a Bears defense seeking to improve its pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
