Florida Panthers forward Anton Lundell scored three goals as the Panthers defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 on Tuesday night in Winnipeg. The victory extended the Jets' struggles, while defenseman Seth Jones capped a record-setting month with a strong performance.
Lundell's hat trick highlighted a balanced offensive effort that also saw goals from Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Reinhart. Matthew Tkachuk and Brady Tkachuk each contributed assists, and head coach Paul Maurice watched his team secure the win against his former club.
Goaltender Akira Schmid made key saves for Florida, while Winnipeg's Clay Stevenson and Nico Daws faced heavy pressure. The Panthers' win came in the first of two meetings between the teams this week, with a rematch scheduled for Friday in Sunrise, Florida.
