NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Blaney enters the Martinsville Speedway race weekend needing a significant result to keep his championship aspirations alive, according to a report from Motorsports Wire.
The playoff scenario places Blaney in a must-win or near-must-win situation at the historic Virginia short track. With the postseason field narrowing, every point carries heightened importance as the series approaches its championship finale.
Martinsville, known for its tight corners and frequent contact, has been a venue where Blaney has shown speed in previous seasons. A strong run this weekend would position him favorably heading into the final races of the 2026 season.
