A Detroit Red Wings trade proposal would send captain Dylan Larkin to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a package centered around $14 million center Yakov Trenin, according to a report published on October 31, 2026.
The proposed deal would move Larkin, who has served as Detroit's captain, to Minnesota in return for Trenin, who carries a $14 million salary cap hit. The trade pitch represents a significant potential shift for both franchises.
Larkin, a product of the Red Wings' system, has been the face of the franchise since being named captain in 2021. Trenin, a physical center, would bring a different element to Detroit's lineup.
