Big 12 Conference commissioner Brett Yormark is reportedly planning to leave his position ahead of the 2027 college football season, according to reports circulating on October 31, 2026. The news has drawn sharp reactions from fans, with some describing his tenure as "disastrous" and declaring the conference "cooked now." Yormark has led the conference through a period of significant realignment, including the additions of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF in 2023, followed by Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah joining for the 2024 season. His departure would mark the end of a tenure that began in 2022 when he succeeded Bob Bowlsby.
