Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla has revealed he is a fan of artificial intelligence, clarifying that his interest does not extend to the Philadelphia 76ers, whose nickname is the Sixers. The comment, reported by Celtics Wire on Friday, October 30, 2026, appears to be a playful reference to the abbreviation "AI," which can stand for both artificial intelligence and former 76ers star Allen Iverson.
Mazzulla made the remark during a media availability ahead of the team's upcoming schedule. The Celtics are preparing for the 2026-27 NBA season after a strong previous campaign.
