The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly active in the wide receiver trade market ahead of the NFL's November 10 deadline, according to The Athletic's Jonathan Jones. After acquiring defensive lineman DeForest Buckner earlier in the week, the 49ers are said to be "sniffing around for wide receiver help" to address injuries in their receiving corps. With a two-game lead in the NFC West, San Francisco is looking to bolster its offense for a playoff push.

Five Potential Trade Targets

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts: The 25-year-old slot receiver is on an expiring contract and considered a likely trade candidate amid Colts roster changes. When healthy, Downs has proven to be a reliable contributor and could fill a specific need in San Francisco's offense.

Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers: The 2023 first-round pick has yet to meet expectations, and the Chargers may look to move him if they pivot to a rebuild. His $16.4 million fifth-year option for 2027 adds risk, but head coach Kyle Shanahan could unlock his potential.

Jauan Jennings, Minnesota Vikings: A former 49ers seventh-round pick (2020), Jennings signed a one-year, $8 million deal with Minnesota but has seen limited usage in 2026. His familiarity with San Francisco's system makes him a low-cost, low-risk reunion option.

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans: The 1-6 Titans are expected to be sellers, and the eight-year veteran with three 1,000-yard seasons could be available. Despite a $29.7 million salary due in 2027, the 49ers could acquire him at a reduced cost as Tennessee seeks cap relief.

Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The 10-year veteran and former Pro Bowler is not in Tampa Bay's long-term plans and has appeared in trade rumors. While past his prime, Godwin could provide immediate help, and the 49ers could decline his club option for 2027 if the fit doesn't work.
