San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan made a surprise appearance at an early voting location in San Antonio on Friday, October 30, 2026. The five-time NBA champion, known as "The Big Fundamental," waited in line like any other voter to cast his ballot ahead of the upcoming election.
Duncan, who spent his entire 19-year NBA career with the Spurs and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020, has maintained a low public profile since retiring in 2016. His presence at the polling station drew attention from fellow voters and local media.
Early voting in Texas began on October 19 and runs through November 1 for the November 3 general election. Duncan's participation highlights the civic engagement of prominent sports figures in the community.
