Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs faces new allegations after police records released Friday revealed three additional women came forward with claims of physical abuse dating back to 2021 and 2022. Jacobs was arrested in May 2026 on five charges including felony strangulation and suffocation, as well as misdemeanor battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct involving domestic abuse, and intimidation of a victim. He turned himself in three days later and spent one night in jail.

Previous Incident Details

An August incident report detailed a May 2026 confrontation at Jacobs' residence where he allegedly grabbed a woman, threw her to the ground causing a head injury, and took her phone. Jacobs pleaded no contest to two Class A misdemeanors — battery and damage to property — in September.

New Allegations Emerge

According to Hobart/Lawrence Police Department records obtained by NBC 26, three women contacted investigators after Jacobs' arrest. One woman described a January 2022 incident where Jacobs allegedly slapped her, threw her phone in a pool, grabbed her hair, pinned her down, threatened to kill her, spit on her, and grabbed her throat. A second woman reported an April 2021 incident where Jacobs allegedly pushed her against a wall, threw her belongings outside, and caused bruising and rib pain; police at the time observed no visible injuries. A third woman alleged a May 2022 incident where Jacobs placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest, and took her phone, adding she did not report it because Jacobs threatened deportation.

Police records also disclosed new details from the May 2026 arrest, stating Jacobs lunged at the woman, pinned her on a bed, and covered her mouth and nose until she felt she could not breathe, with the woman believing she lost consciousness. The NFL said Saturday it will review the allegations as part of an ongoing investigation. Jacobs spent the first six weeks of the season on the commissioner exempt list but has played in the Packers' last two games while the investigation continues.
