Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receiver Jerome Bettis Jr. recorded his first career touchdown in a game against Navy, according to Fighting Irish Wire. The freshman, wearing number 8, reached the end zone for the first time in his collegiate career.
Bettis Jr., son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis, joined the Fighting Irish receiving corps this season. The touchdown marks a significant milestone for the young wideout as he continues to develop within Notre Dame's offense.
Photographs from Notre Dame's subsequent game against Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium on September 26, 2026, show Bettis Jr. celebrating with teammates including wide receivers Matt Jeffery and Mylan Graham and tight end Ty Washington following a fourth-quarter score in that contest.
