Nottingham Forest have cycled through five managers since the start of last season, with Oliver Glasner the latest to face mounting pressure after just one win in the club's opening nine Premier League matches.
Following a 2-0 defeat at Brentford on Saturday, Glasner admitted he had made too many compromises and insisted the team must change its approach immediately. "It's now time not to make compromises, it's now time to show a clear way and everybody has to follow," he told BBC's Match of the Day, adding that failure to do so could see a sixth manager appointed.
The loss leaves Forest 19th in the table, only a point above the relegation zone, and they have failed to score in five of their nine league games. Despite registering the fourth-highest expected goals (xG) total in the division (14.33), Forest have netted just six times, the fewest in the Premier League.
Summer signing Liam Delap, acquired for £50 million from Chelsea, has managed only one league goal in eight appearances, while the side ranks second for shots per game behind Manchester United.
Glasner is understood to be safe for the moment, with his three-year contract and a reported £10 million annual salary making a dismissal costly. The Austrian has vowed to alter his methods, saying, "The only way is to change it or these things will happen again."
