Pat McAfee appeared on ESPN's College GameDay set ahead of the Indiana versus Minnesota football game on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The former NFL punter turned media personality received positive reactions from college football fans for what they described as a "simmered down version" of his usual on-air persona.
Social media commentary highlighted appreciation for McAfee's more restrained approach, with fans noting it was "nice to see a bit of humility" and expressing hope that the toned-down style would continue. McAfee, who joined ESPN's College GameDay crew in 2023, has been known for his high-energy commentary and wrestling-inspired entrances.
