A plane banner critical of Florida State head coach Mike Norvell circled Doak Campbell Stadium ahead of the Seminoles' matchup against Clemson on Saturday, but the message drew attention for an apparent typographical error.
The aerial display occurred before the October 31 contest between the two Atlantic Coast Conference programs. Details of the banner's exact wording and the nature of the typo were not immediately specified in initial reports.
Florida State entered the game under scrutiny following a disappointing season, with Norvell's tenure becoming a topic of debate among the fanbase. The Seminoles hosted the Tigers in a conference showdown at their Tallahassee home venue.
