Tennessee Tech secured a 24-17 victory over East Tennessee State University (ETSU) on Saturday night, with a late touchdown run by Leatherwood proving decisive. The Associated Press reported the win came on October 31, 2026.
The game remained close throughout, but Leatherwood's scoring run in the final moments gave the Golden Eagles the margin they needed to hold off the Buccaneers. The win improves Tennessee Tech's record while handing ETSU a narrow defeat in the in-state matchup.
