Fourth-ranked Michigan State defeated eighth-ranked North Dakota 5-3 in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame game at the H-E-B Center in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.
A late goal by Lindstrom proved decisive as the Spartans knocked off the Fighting Hawks in a matchup of top-10 teams.
Michigan State forward Eric Nilson was seen preparing for a faceoff against North Dakota's Anthony Menghini during the contest.
The victory improves MSU's record and serves as a statement win early in the season.
