Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has commented on ongoing transfer rumors linking Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer with a move to Manchester United. The Spanish coach addressed the speculation surrounding the England international's future while also issuing a "big game" challenge to the 24-year-old forward.
Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, has emerged as one of the Premier League's most productive attacking players. His form has inevitably attracted interest from rival clubs, with Manchester United reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Alonso, who faced Palmer's Chelsea in European competition last season, offered his perspective on the transfer talk while setting down a marker for the player's continued development at the highest level.
