The Eugene Register-Guard has launched its weekly vote to determine the girls Athlete of the Week, inviting readers to select from a slate of local high school standouts. The feature, written by Jarrid Denney, was published on November 1, 2026, and highlights top performances from the past week in girls' sports across the Eugene area.
Readers can cast their ballots online through the newspaper's platform, with the winner to be announced in a subsequent edition. The Register-Guard's Athlete of the Week series regularly recognizes exceptional individual efforts in high school athletics.
