Andreas Almgren claimed victory in the 2026 New York City Marathon on November 1, marking a successful marathon debut for the Swedish runner. On the women's side, Kenya's Sheila Chepkirui added another major win to her resume, crossing the finish line first in the women's race.
The annual marathon, one of the world's six World Marathon Majors, saw both athletes dominate their respective fields under clear autumn conditions in New York City.
