American tennis player Ben Shelton announced he is adding former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero to his coaching team. Ferrero, who previously coached Carlos Alcaraz, brings Grand Slam experience as both a player and coach.
The move was confirmed on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with Shelton stating that Ferrero will join his existing coaching setup. Ferrero reached the top of the ATP rankings in 2003 and won the French Open that same year.
