Former LSU head coach Brian Kelly has publicly stated his desire to take the Florida State head coaching job, according to reports on November 4, 2026.
The news sparked immediate backlash from Florida State supporters, who flooded social media with messages such as “STAY AWAY” and “We Not Interested,” making clear their opposition to the potential hire.
Kelly, who previously coached at Notre Dame before leading LSU, has not been officially linked to the Seminoles' search, but his admission has intensified speculation around the program's coaching vacancy.
