The Atlanta Braves have signed a 26-year-old shortstop following the World Series, according to a report from Heavy. The move comes after Atlanta's National League Wild Card Series against the Philadelphia Phillies at Truist Park on October 1, 2026, where manager Walt Weiss addressed media following the Braves' victory in Game 3.
The signing adds infield depth to a Braves roster that advanced to the postseason. Weiss, wearing number 22, spoke to reporters after the October 1 win at the team's home stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Financial terms and the player's identity were not disclosed in the initial report.
