No. 7 Texas travels to face No. 18 Missouri in a highly anticipated top-25 matchup this weekend, with the Tigers hosting the Longhorns in a battle between ranked SEC opponents. The game pits two programs with championship aspirations against each other in what promises to be a pivotal contest for both teams' postseason positioning.
Missouri, led by head coach Eli Drinkwitz, enters the matchup looking to continue their strong season at home. The Tigers' most recent outing came on October 17 against the Mississippi Rebels at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, where Drinkwitz patrolled the sidelines as his team sought to build momentum heading into this marquee matchup.
Texas arrives as the higher-ranked team at No. 7 nationally, bringing a potent offense and stingy defense that has powered them through the early portion of the conference schedule. The Longhorns will test their road mettle against a Missouri squad that has proven formidable in front of its home crowd.
Both programs view this game as a critical measuring stick for their College Football Playoff hopes, with the winner gaining a significant advantage in the crowded SEC race and national rankings. Kickoff time and broadcast details will be announced as the weekend approaches.
