The Cincinnati Reds have hired Joe Torres as their new pitching coach, the team announced Wednesday. Torres joins Cincinnati after serving as the assistant pitching coach for the Cleveland Guardians.
Torres, who wore number 86 with the Guardians, was photographed working with pitcher Peyton Battenfield during a doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park on April 18, 2023. His appointment adds major league coaching experience to the Reds' staff.
