Former West Ham player Green has backed Scott Parker as a "proven" candidate for the club's managerial vacancy. Parker, who played for West Ham earlier in his career, has faced the Hammers four times as a manager, losing three and drawing one.
The endorsement comes as West Ham consider their options for the role. BBC Sport's Andrew Raeburn reported on November 3, 2026, that Parker's experience and familiarity with the club make him a contender.
