CD Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel, 30, died in hospital on Monday after colliding with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono during a match.
The incident occurred on November 2. De Miguel was transported to a hospital following the collision but passed away hours later.
De Miguel had been playing for the Spanish club CD Tenerife. The football community has expressed condolences following the tragic loss.
